This programme is for professionals who facilitate, lead, or intend to establish reflective practice groups, supervision spaces, or reflective forums — within their organisation or independent practice.
Reflective spaces can surface vulnerability, uncertainty and challenge as often as insight. The programme is built around that reality: it treats facilitation as a skill that requires containment strategies, clear boundaries and ethical judgement, not just good intentions.
You'll bring participants with different levels of experience, authority and organisational power into the same room. The course is designed to help you navigate that — including the safeguarding responsibilities, institutional risk, and moral distress that come with psychologically demanding work.
The learning journey
The programme moves from foundations and safety to facilitation skills, group dynamics, inclusion and implementation.
Planned cohorts: from late October 2026, then November and December 2026. Exact session dates are to be confirmed and will be updated before enrolment.
Online sessions: please use a laptop or desktop with a working camera and microphone and a reliable internet connection. Contact the team in advance to discuss accessibility adjustments.

Introduces the purpose and scope of reflective practice, clarifies roles and boundaries, and establishes the group agreements that make psychological safety possible from session one.

Shared understanding of reflective practice, and the conditions that make reflection safe and effective. Introduces Kolb, Gibbs and Schön as frameworks for learning from experience.

Compare reflective models, develop reflexivity and critical reflection, and choose an approach suited to the context rather than applying a formula.

Practise online facilitation through active listening, curious questions, managing silence and widening participation.

Explore how group dynamics shape participation, and practise containment, boundaries and safe responses when significant issues emerge.

Examine how identity, culture, power and neurodiversity shape voice, access and psychological safety in reflective spaces.

Create an implementation plan, strengthen reflective practice within your setting and rehearse facilitation with developmental feedback.

Collective reflection on the course, evaluation, and a considered transition back into professional practice — with space for the emotional weight of ending well.
Secure learning platform
A digital reflective journal, tailored reflective prompts, and a resource hub of session materials, models and reading — available between and after live sessions.

No. It's a developmental training programme in facilitating reflective practice. Reflection can still surface real emotion, which is why safeguarding, boundaries and voluntary participation are built into the design from the pre-course session onward.
